In on the record, we speak with members of the Precious Sound community about their music truths, precious mementos, and more.

This week, we sit down with our IT specialist Stephan! He is secretly a master guitarist, has a great sense of humor, and has had years and years of experience in the music world, we are so happy to share his story with you

Stephan from IT playing his guitar

PS: What is the moment you realized the importance music plays in your life?

SH: I can't remember exactly, it's been too long, but I think circa 1980 was when I picked up my first guitar, pictured here! Ever since then, it feels like I have never put it down.

PS: What's an album, song, or piece of music that evokes a precious memory for you?

SH: There's quite a lot, but especially B.B. King live concert in summer 2001 and my first heavy metal concert at the age of 14 in summer 1993. I still have the flyers from them!

Precious Sound: What most excited you about Precious Sound’s silver, gold, and platinum records?

Stephan Heigermoser: The combination between different crafts - the music, the artist, the high-precision manufacturing of the precious metal records. It is incredible how the work of the artist can be heard on a work of art made of precious metal.

PS: And what surprised you most?

SH: What surprised me the most was the quality of the music on the precious metal records. I could not have imagined hearing such good sound coming from it! Yes the music quality is sensational, but the visuals are outstanding and belong in a display case, behind glass or on a shelf so you enjoy it every time you see it.

PS: What song or artist would you like to see (and hear) on a gold record?

SH: Steve Gaines - One in the Sun!

PS: How do you listen to music, any rituals you have around it?

SH: I listen to music very often in the car. I enjoy different frequencies, for example I listen to Entre Dos Aguas at <200 Km/H and Cowboys from Hell at >200 Km/H, rest in peace Paco and Dimebag.

PS: What’s on your playlist these days?

SH: Some new, and much that can not get old! Van Halen, Metallica, Marcus King, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mammoth, ZZ Top, Sepultura, Polyphia, Pantera, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Slayer, Jack Green, Robot Monster, Faith No More, Bad Company, Joe Bonamassa, Rainbow, and more!
